Well I've just completed the game and
I must say the bit where he says 'Naahhh' is rubbish. The ending could have been so much better, and spoils the game slightly for me. Furthermore, I don't like that Rebecca has gone all hybridy and I want her and Tommy to be happy. The fact that Tommy says they have been contacted by a memeber of the VonBron crew saying it's safe doesn't really work out. Surely Tommy must think it could be shodan contacting them through the body of the crew member. You would have thought someone with his intelligence would be more cautious about returning. What happens next then? Does Rebecca kill Tommy or what?
Overall I'd give the game a 9/10. Along with Half Life and Football Manager, the best games I own.
Tommy knows nothing about SHODAN. Especially he doesn't realize that she's with him. Rebecca hasn't turned a hybrid but a host you see.
What is a
host?
And we will not know how this progresses until a System Shock 3 sees the daylight.
couldn't agree with you more. One unserious line in the dialog of a gritty horror story, it makes no sense:confused: .
The game's development had to be rushed at certain point, I'm pretty sure the end cutscene was affected by that speed increase. Though I can't say I agree with you about the 'Nah' line, what would you want Goggles to say instead? No thanks? Nope? No?

He could have smiled wryly, shaken his head and fired, perhaps. Same basic outcome, with less embarrassment (apologies to whoever was the voice actor).

That does sound like a good idea, it'd maintain Goggles as one of the main characters that never say a word. :p
