Hi I have the same problem with the Editor it loads and then nothing happend.
Thx to Despot I know now what wrong is.
Despot do you know how to set up a proprietary key, I don`t understand what you are talking about.
And yes it`s true, when I start the editor I can`t do any thing.
Hope someone has a nice solutioin for it, or that Despot can explain it.

Despot - are you saying that the error I get is from ZA interference? I have ZA running but I've never had it block something without popping up a dialogue box.
The conflict you speak of - will it pop up such a box? Because I don't get one.

Cool, this fixed the other problem I was having. Now with the 16-bit color and this problem solved, game and editor work fine, can even go into test missions while in T3Ed. Sweet. :thumb:

I think the problem is that the popup box is behind the loading screen, is waiting for you to respond to the prompt, but the T3ed loader won't let you minimize or Ctrl-Alt-Del while this is going on.

ZA couldn't have been the problem for me...there's nothing new listed in it that's related to UT, T3, or anything...hrm

If that is true then this is not my problem. I CAN ctrl-alt-del, it just takes an age. And there is no ZA behind anything - just that error I posted.

If questions can not be answered, then go to ZA - Program Control and see if the program is listed. If it has question marks, than change it to accept.

Just press RETURN when you get to the loading screen and hear the pop-up sound. This'll take you back to the desktop/editor quickly.
I fixed this by dragging all the map .GMP files in the thief3 (main install) into the thief3edit maps directory.
For some reason it needs the gmp files for all the other maps to load a custom one. Remember to click "Rebuild all" before pressing the joystick just to make sure.

In the tutorial it mentions that running the game from the editor wont give any sound *if* you don't run the game in windowed mode. The question is, how do you run the game in windowed mode from the editor ? (Or indeed at all)
As a workaround, for getting sound, I simply made a shortcut on my desktop that launches C:\Games\Thief3Edit\System\T3.EXE with autoplay as a command line argument.
So then just do a build all in the editor, then run this shortcut instead of clicking the joystick icon, as buildall just creates a mission called autoplay. It seems to work the same way as launching from inside the editor, but with sound.

When I was able to actually keep the editor running long enough to hit BuildAll, I was getting sound ingame from the Editor. It's really eerie how this thing works completely differently for everyone...or doesn't work as the case may be for others. :grr:
