Can anybody help with this one.
I was using scrolls no problem earlier on in the game but now every time I equip one all the Cost/Chance stats go up to 100/100 for all of them. I got my magika up to 101 but I still can't use them. I need to split some serious locks to complete some quests so am getting very stuck.
Any suggestions welcome.

The cost/chance 100/100 means it costs 100 magica to use and it has 100% chance of working. It's strange that you can't use the scrolls. Sounds like a bug, is it the PC or Xbox version?

only one that does that to me is the ekash locksplitter.
i am using the xbox version.

Its the locksplitter that I need to use. am running PC version with tribunal. Was thinking of going back to X-box but not much point if it happens on there too. So how do I split those locks?

If locksplitter scroll doesn't work, use lockpicks. It should be common sense, but, then again, there are many idiots out there.

Lockpicks aren't much use if your security skill is 5, because you were planning to play a warrior or a magic user, not a thief. It should be common sense, but, then again, there are many idiots out there.

It's caleld "increasing skills." It may be a vague concept, but if you read the manual, it should become quite clear.

She totally dissed you Marxist, lol. But Ania does have a point. Raising that skill in the beginning can be hard, since locks are limited to low level players and training would cost a lot to them. I've never had a problem because I've always played a Warrior/Theif.

That's not a point at all, nor has she usually done anything to actually help anybody (with the exception of her usual arrogant and patronizing post in which she just describes the most obvious course of action), but rather gets by on the occasional drool or aaaargh. Now she wants to call me an idiot because I told those dumbass n00bs to use a lockpick if they're too stupid to use a scroll. And I'd hate to say that Ania is probably just as much an idiot in reality as she is in the forums, but this should explain all:

Sorry my question started a slagging match, will go away quietly and build up more stats!
PS Can anyone tell me who will sell a masters lockpick?
