Hola,
Every so often i get an itch to do this sort of thing, and after recently completing another game of Deus Ex i decided i'd try creating a level or two, just for a laugh. Trouble is, i can't get the version of UnrealEd that comes with the Deus Ex SDK to work. I've downloaded the version available at DeusEx.com and also another one that seems to be floating around, but neither of them work ... in desperation i've also tried using some sort of UnrealEd fix available from unreal.epicgames.com, but that didn't help either.
Everything installs fine, but after opening Unrealed.exe in the system directory, several things go wrong. An error message pops up while UnrealEd is starting up, but it disappears again before i have time to read even a single word of what it says. The four windows will be black, and pretty much nothing will work. It refuses to load textures/sounds/music etc, and attempting to open/create maps does nothing, the same with pretty much everything else in the drop-down menus. I've re-installed it several times to no avail.
I've been looking around the internet for an answer for this, and i'll keep looking, but i thought i'd ask here as well just in case. If anyone has any suggestions i'd love to hear them. :(
If it's at all relevant, my video card is a Riva TNT2 64 Pro.
