Agent Monkeyse is probably right...you have a single key bound to more than a single action. In your "Keyboard/Mouse settings", check whether you have the "strafe" action assigned to the same key that you've assigned to "strafe left" or "strafe right".... or whatever.
This is probably the cause of your slipping around...either that or you're the excitable type who forgets to let go of buttons.

Screw the training ... just get on with the game. :) The first mission is a perfect setting to explore how to play the game.
Unless the bug only happens in training though, what I said doesn't help you in the least. :rolleyes:

This sort of thing has been reported with the first release of Windows 2000. If that's your OS, you may need to get the second service pack.
