Couldn't find anything on this with search.
I'm in training doing the sneak past the guards thing and I keep getting stuck moving sideways. I crouch and move around trying to hide behind crates, but at some point I move without the keyboard and I keep getting discovered.
How do I stop sliding?
Do I need a patch? It doesn't say anything about game of the year edition on my triple fold cd holder. If I need a patch, which one?

Unless your GOTY game came with the Creative Soundcard, there is NO patch for the GOTY. It is fine as it is.

Except apparently it's <i>not</i> fine as he's sliding around like a block of ice ;)
I've never heard of this problem. Have you checked to make sure you don't have multiple actions bound to a single key?

I know this one...
I think that it is a bug of somekind. With my game is the same problem, but you can get it out by crouching, jumping and stuff.
So try to jump and crouch. Usually it goes out after a while.

I don't think so. It's different, of course, but not essentially harder. At least I didn't perceive it this way. Although, after having completed DX twice as a sneaker, Thief was really easy for me.
