Wait now when did we decide that Avatar's 3D wasn't done right?
When is that damn special edition coming out?

And quite a few animated films.
Comedy is dead (also related to Jackass)
Avatar: eh dunno. It kinda blotted its copybook when it wasn't doing
big stuff by Cameron being unable to stop himself from putting blurry stuff in the foreground just for the sake of it. Smarter, more visually astute directors with better self restraint will do better (and have, from what what I hear about Toy Story 3). It's solid though and not all about things poking at the screen etc so, that's indeed 'right'.

There is a great promotional animation being projected onto the Southbank in London at the moment.

Soundtrack's out. If the movie is at least half as amazing as the music, it's gonna be sweet.

I was just going to post that the soundtrack is pretty stellar but everything I'm hearing about the movie is decidedly average, what a surprise for a CGIathon sequel to a cult favourite...
However, Daft Punk have pulled out an amazing score that is far more orchestral than I was expecting and the helmeted duo get that propulsive and exciting scores work through layering of insistent strings and the occasional blast of brass or drumroll. This sounds more like the work of a seasoned soundtrack veteran, though not a derivative or entirely clichéd work from someone who's burnt out their originality (looking at you, John Williams). That said... I did hear a couple of familiar strains that made me think of some recent works like Inception.

Weirdly only 5 tracks on Spotify. Loving the end credits track though.

If you've seen the old TRON lately, you probably will have noticed that it was a rather mediocre film itself, in terms of story and acting. Its legacy really is the striking visual style.

I actually have it to watch as I cannot remember it at all.
