Just to join the club, my aunt convinced my mother to buy me Robocop when I was 8.
8 Years old and I saw bodyparts and a guy disolve. I genuinely had nightmares and to this day I feel a level of discomfort when watching it.

Even as an adult, the violence in Robocop is pretty extreme. The guy who gets shredded by Ed-209 in the boardroom... jesus, if you can watch that without at least an elevated pulse, you have serious issues.
Never seen Watership Down though. I imagine I'd probably be immune to it's horror as an adult.

Right, because pre-teens are known for their well-developed critical faculties, and adults... aren't?
Obviously someone missed the point if that blatant jab. I suggest more careful reading in the future.

You may also have been a far more inherently critical kid than I - who was pretty much transfixed when it came to anything that featured flashy CGI light shows.
I don't know about that-- I loved watching things on T.V. like Voltron, Robo-Tech, Ultra Man, and the Beverly Hillbillies.

I loved Tron when I was a kid and even now I tend to experience glee when I see something associated with it. I'm looking forward to this a lot.

Voltron is on hulu btw (and is at the same time better and worse than I remembered)

I still have all three of those damned things, which cost me a fortune from K-Mart back in the 80s: the Lions, the Cars, and the shitty three robots that stack on top of each other.

Imagine again. Its got a HELL of a lot of dark twisted crap in it. Even the intro sequence is freaky.
I liked Tron back in the day, but I caught some it on TV in the last 2 years and the effects are odd to say the least. I can't say they are bad but they sure aren't as awesome as my inner child remembered.
This new thing looks... a bit meh.

Speaking of killing the inner child, I recently watched War Games II.
Wow. I would have given them money not to have made it.
