How do you use the amulet? I can't "wear" it.
And the trolls in level 4 (or was it 5) always attacked me even though the Trolls on the level with Pog are fine with me.
I thought what the hell and killed all the trolls on level 4.

did you in anyway attack them? Or annoy them before you had the amulet?
friendly NPCs seem to have a short temper regarding accidental hits. ( In the first fight with a Goblin Lord, I accidentally hit Kultar and he turned on me immediately...)
BTW you need to have the amulet in you inventory. 'Would be cool to be able to wear it, but you can't, so...

The amulet didn't work for me, either.
At the beginning of that level, where the goblins are fighting the troll, i killed all of the goblins, and when attempting to converse with the troll, he said "You friend?". However when i started to walk away from him, he attacked me. All the other trolls on that level were hostile as well. I wonder if you need to double-click the amulet in your inventory and then click it on an advancing troll. Never tried that.

No. You just need to have it in your inventory. That worked for me at least. :confused:
You must have accidently hurt a troll, and if that's the case, they will be your enemy the rest of the game. :(

I think I may have went to that level once before and a troll saw me and started to attack immediately (started coming at me). But I'm pretty sure I didn't fight him. Or maybe I did but if so then I certainly loaded a game where I hadn't done it.
Umm... a troll near the Troll king might have seen me stealing something though.

Doesn't work for me either. Very annoying.
I think it's beacuse I went down there before I had an amulet and they saw me. I just ran away.
So: Once someone gets switched to 'hostile' they never ever switch back? Very frustrating!
edit: Oh, and double clicking on the troll with the amulet does nothing. You know, I'm getting pretty frustrated with this game...

Well, I did. I just wanted to avoid the psycho-killer actions as much as possible. Oh well -- trolls just can't match my bow, sadly.

They stomp around and HUMAAAAN! I managed to kill everyone, cept the twin brothers in that level.

the amulet is a gift from Greu, because you are such a good friend ;)
1: get him his birthday present, and he'll give you the amulet
2: a troll in the mines will tell you what he wants for his birthday
3: it will be given to you if you ask nicely at the kingdom's library
but given your agressive 'solutions', thus far, I doubt you'll ever need it.
