Icky, icky, terrible bad bug. From receiving the "Missing Hand" quest onwards, whenever I try to save the game, I get a "savegame restarted while save was already in progress" or something similar error, and that save - and often auto and quicksaves, corrupt and won't load - giving "tribunal.esm is not a valid tes file" and such. It's all gibberish to me but it seems to say "you're screwed". What the hell's going on? Should I just un/reinstall? Wait for patch? Delete a swathe of corrupted files? Anyone have the slightest clue?

I'd back up the files and reinstall the game. I had to reinstall too, after I got a message about a corrupt pointer (The pointer on the map was stuck in all games). Reinstall solved it, so it should work for you too, as long as the error is in the game not in the saves.
What have you got to lose, after all?

A-ha! Backed up my savegames, un- and re-installed, all works. :D
