Morte, did you see the movie first? And if so, what did you think of it?
Personally, I love H2G2, my fave series of books ever(even if part 5 wasn't that great). The movie didn't do much for me tho.

Morte, in case you missed the point of this thread, it's in memory of an author for whom a lot of people happen to have a great deal of respect and fondness. It has absolutely nothing to do with you or your personal opinions. So either shut up or get out. Preferably both.
To ensure ongoing quality of service, your death may be monitored for training purposes. Thank you.
Do have a nice day.

I don't think the mods would like it if we clog up CommChat with lots of different threads about Adams so we better keep the discussion in here.
A straight out Douglas-appreciation thread would be kinda one-sided and boring anyway. Especially since we've already had a few of those over the years.

Because we never see you airing your opinions like a pair of shitty droors, rite?

I haven't seen the movie, and I very little inclination to now. But given that the only lolz there is come from tone rather than content, I can't see how it can be anything but worse if it's even remotely faithful to the source material.

Morte, we get it. You're edgy and hip and too beyond us to like Hitchhiker's. We're impressed with your maturity and hope to one day be as cool as you.

Just like you're too edgy and hip to like Lordi?
Maybe he just doesn't like it.
