is there going to be an author-guessing session, where the names of the authors are released and people start guessing who made which mission.
with 21 names to choose from, it should be quite fun.

Don't be surprised if an author has made more than one entry, since that sort of thing was allowed.

comment: Can't finish this mission. Still. This had a few nice ideas like the skeleton under the hammer or the door to nowhere. The readme says it is an actual testing mission by a first timer and it shows. Objects were hidden at very hard to find places and that is not a plus. I gave up when I couldn't find the medallion.
The medallion is above the zombie in the toilet, use the rope arrow :)
I am really enjoying these missions. I just finished Incubus...whew!! I thought I'd never get to the end! I needed a little break to reset the old noggin. It surprizes me what some people think is "crap", though. Some of these are not crap at all by my standards. Weird, crazy, bizarre maybe, but crap? Nah. LOL
Oh, well. Time to finish that beer & get back to it!

Wow, I've been gone for a few weeks/months and this comes out.
Holy Crap (missions)!
I'd better fire up Thief again. Thanks authors!

I don't think I played a single mission that came out this year.... Did Rocksbourg caome out in 2006? - but anyway, I HAVE them - I was collecting everything on my computer for when my health allowed me to go back to Thief again (I cannot wait to see the Water contest missions!!!!).
Ummmm, anyway, dealing with THIS thread's topic (:o ) I grabbed these Crap missions a couple days ago and have played nearly all of them - hey, I may as well dust off the blackjack with 'crap missions' right? :eww:
But I really only played ONE that I would consider 'crap' - it was the one wihere you kept dying trying to collect that f$!#@ing coin... That one is the clear winner. I try to envision the missions as if they were given a full release and 'arrival thread' and not entries in a humorous contest. Nakes it easier to think of them AS 'crap'. I really liked Incubus
I think R Soul made that one - it reminded me of some of his stuff - and I think either Sluggs or The Dude made The Drop - and I think Yandros made Kill The Guard. I'm probably wrong on all counts, but they're just my guesses due to style.
Anyway, thanks to all 21 authors for making these! They're very interesting and VERY creative... Does anyone remember someone at the Dromed forum who appeared wanting someone to make his "AwEsOmMme" mission and he was really a pain in the ass - talking down to people, egotistical, etc. - and his ideas were just impossible - so I guess he took his 'mission' to another forum somewhere (you know - where all the "GOOD" Dromeders are, who sneer at the missions WE play). Well, I think THAT would be a great starting point for making a 'crap' mission, LOL - The Immaculate Divine Mission (and it's just a jorge room with an apple in the corner). I was just reminded of that old thread when I started playing these and perusing the concept of what exactly constitutes a 'crap' mission. I'm sure someone remembers the esact thread that was - I might be remembering a few details wrong but it was funny as hell (but sure got a lot of people angry too IIRC).
OK - gotta run home and get some sleep. Just had to write a thank-you and shout out a "HI" to ecveryone. So... "HI".
