Resurrecting this ancient thread because - for some reason - Rick Lane of PCGamer.com decided to write an article about it a couple days ago!

Why did I do this? Well, if I felt like justifying it, I'd write something like "The Thief series is synonymous with excellent level design, so deliberately trying to make a bad Thief map is an interesting experiment, one that may yield fascinating insights into what precisely makes Thief levels great." Yes, that sounds convincing. Mainly though, I thought it would be funny.
It's a fun read. :)

Time between last post and previous: ~15 years. Topic: the "Total Crap" fan missions....as a long time Thief fan, I have never heard of this, yet, somebody at pcgamer decided to write an admirably amusing article about it. I'm not sure what all conclusions to draw about this. huh.

over the course of last weekend, I decided to judge them all.
That must have been brutal. :D I played at least parts of all missions in 2006 and then replayed them relatively recently to finish the ones I had aborted years before.
I agree with the author's view that Incubus is maybe a little too competent to win this contest and OMG Get You're Blackjack Back! LOL seems like a good choice for the mission that fulfils the contest's spirit the best. My personal pick would have been Quamtotius Purgamentum. I still chuckle whenever I think about the
scroll at the end in which the author loses track of what he was writing about and ends up writing how hyped he is about the next Tomb Raider game instead.
