Sure, but if I want an entertaining TV show i'll watch Top Gear!
[edit]I actually switch off during the supercar review bits myself. I just like the segments where they try and prove British Leyland made decent cars, or make amphibious cars and then make tits of themselves crossing the channel. There it's not so much penis substitutes as "embarassing middle aged dads cocking around". Which is fun thanks to the banter between the presenters.

It's kinda fun once in a while, even informative (I like the one where they have to drive across that huge mud flat in Africa somewhere where you can't stop or the car will sink). But you'd have to have the most insatiable boner for cars to watch it all the time. Which is apparently a lot of people.

I dunno, I really don't think regular viewers are all hardcore petrolheads. Ever since Clarkson took over (it was originally a more sensible and serious motoring review show) he's been aiming for a wider audience.

Oh no, there's much more cars-as-large-and-somewhat-noisy-consumer-accessory to it. It's really one of those food tourism/ cooking adventure shows, but with cars instead of food.
The sort of thing that'd probably alienate proper petrol heads altogether (but they're old dads themselves and like the lads).
Anyway, Mythbusters: Maaan how could anything ever be wrong with that show? I thought it might run out of steam but they keep coming up with more intriguing things all the time

Top Gear = Win
Top Gear USA = Fail (At least thats what I've read, I've watched a bit of it, not the same charm as the British version, jaded maybe?)
One of the funniest episodes evar.
(

Muz that definitely plays a large part in drawing audiences, for sure. But I mean, sometimes it's just silliness with crappy old cars. And I'm not much of a car enthusiast myself, apart from a general appreciaton for great works of engineering (or ridiculous ones).
