Who
doesn't love
Tetris?
That pick actually makes sense for #1 game of all time. Most other picks would be either a lot more subjective or just plain pandering to a specific audience (or advertiser).

That Polygon list is highly lolwut. Gotta commend them on being the only place that has probably ever rated Deadly Shadows higher than Thief or Deus Ex.
Edit: Vampire Redemption at 132 but no mention of Bloodlines? That's either massive trolling, or a legitimate error in the voting system.

Or people not knowing the difference and thinking Redemption is Bloodlines.

Turns out this Shacknews Top 10 Star Wars games list is 2 years old, but I've already embedded it and everything, so here.

Rebel Assault 1 was gaaaaaaarbage, haven't played RA2 but I have a hard time believing it really deserves to be on this list. Surely Star Wars Chess or something should've been included instead?
Is Tie Fighter still worth playing? Only ever played the demo back then, but seeing it here kinda makes me wanna pick it up on GOG.
The #1 pick is correct.

I played Tie Fighter recently-ish (two years ago?). It was pretty great. It really showed me where a lot of the Freespace game design came from originally. And boy do I miss the tactical map in any space sim that doesn't have it...

I couldn't get into Dark Forces this year. What turned me off were those ceiling turrets that required pixel perfect precision to destroy, with the game not featuring Y-axis mouselook, only keyboard keys for looking up and down. That got tiresome fast. I did play and enjoy Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast this year, that's a very decent game indeed.

Strange, I feel the opposite, but eh. Opinions differ. Having watched the video, I am reminded that I did not particular enjoy Republic Commando either. And I would have dropped Shadows of the Empire from the list entirely.
My personal top list is:
1) Dark Forces
2) Tie Fighter
And that's all!
I don't begrudge people liking KoTOR, but that combat really just wore me down. Same thing happened with Dragon Age.

I couldn't believe Hollow Knight was not on the list, but then I saw it was written by John Walker. What a hack. I can't really take much of what he says seriously anymore.

Well, the comments section contains a big debate on why Hollow Knight should or should not be included. Basically it boils down to John not liking it in his review.
Dead Cells is at least a justified exclusion on the intro page.
