Top Five Ways To Raise Awareness About Islam, and Promote Religious Harmony - by Queue

Well you did bring up a difficult issue in an over-the-top way. And your underlying thoughts apparently are no less broad brushed than they appear on the surface. Do you actually believe that a majority of Muslims thinks Christians were out to get them? And do you actually believe nuts like Jones would play any role if there wasn't an existing conflict?
People like Jones and some flag-burning kids in Afghanistan are merely washed atop because we have an atmosphere of fear and mistrust already and they make for iconic headlines. By amplifying the role of such idiots the media amplifies the cultural conflict as a whole. And you fall for that, mistaking the symptoms for the cause. That's why people assume that you must be trolling.

Christianity was no doubt a huge part of why America was targeted on 9/11.
Complete and utter nonsense. Christianity had little to with why America was targeted. They didn't go after churches, or the vatican, or anything like that. They hit the primary symbols of our economic and military imperialism.

The war in Afghanistan was waged for protecting a murderous criminal organization who had just fucking bombed us - if they had been Christians or Hindus or Zen Buddhists in Afghanistan and they decide they weren't gonna let us go hunt for Bin Laden there, we were gonna invade them just the same.
...And are you trying to claim that muslims don't target other muslims with terrorist acts? Because, otherwise, this fails to establish any form of contrast. It's not
really about religion and never was, despite the fact that the especially religious nutters on both sides would like the support of their entire religion and so try to frame it that way, with varying degrees of success (making it, yes, at least in part "about" religion).

But it's true; straw numbers, somewhat oversimplified given its an ongoing thing and not very comparable. (I doubt 'bombing' was the specific metric and more a figurative thing, but Afghanistan in particular seems to have most of its coalition civilian casualties dealt by bomb)
The exact numbers are pretty immaterial; the point is that the claim that the bombing is one-sided
against us is totally ridiculous on the face of it. We are, by and large,
not the victims. We lost some people, yeah, but against the scale of the conflicts, our losses are insignicant. Heck, against the scale of routine traffic accidents, our losses are insignificant.

You are correct, and I am in error. But I doubt the fact that the religiously motivated hatred was directed at economic and military imperialism, and not our differing religion, makes it any less a religiously motivated act of violence.

No, Muslims targeting other Muslim with terrorist acts for Islam doesn't nullify anything, it just goes to further demonstrate that Muslim extremism is fucking violent.
Comparison: Was 9/11 motivated by Islam? Was the war in Iraq and Afghanistan motivated by Christianity?
Cause if they bombed us because their religion said we were evil, and we bombed them cause they attacked us, it ain't the same thing.

tBM and CCCtoad in "we don't fucking get it" synergistic clueless mess-up shocker.
tBM to get it later and follow up with graceful climb-down apology, CCC to never get it and argue the toss like the fat tongued twatknacker he is.

Admirable use of the language. Blackadder would be proud.

Obviously we attacked Iraq because we disagreed with their religion and because they destroyed the WTC
And because America hates 4 letter words

Instead of hurling rocks from the sideline, would you please explain what in the hell you're getting at?
I thought it was obvious. The original post doesn't seem intended to start a germane discussion (though it my end up doing that inadvertantely), but was just shit flinging designed to get people riled up.
