Most of us watch them, although only some will admit to it, lol.

The only one I watch is (
http://www.lesstroudonline.com/) Survivorman, though it's not reality TV in the same sense that Survivor or Big Brother are.
It's about a guy (Les Stroud) who gets dropped off in different locations - sometimes the jungle, once in the artic, and once even on a raft in the ocean - with nothing but camera gear and a few supplies that someone might realistically get strande d with.
He does all the filming himself (sometimes the camera will show him walking off in the distance, then walking back to pick up the camera), and the show is about him surviving for seven days, after which he has to find a drop-off point to meet up with the crew again. It's fascinating to watch, and Les is pretty funny, partially for the fact that he's not the greatest outdoorsman.. I mean, he survives, but sometimes not in the most practical ways.
The show is also very atmospheric - he has a good eye for filming landscapes, and it really makes you feel like you're stranded along with him.
I normally wouldn't promote a TV show like that, but it's one of my favourites. I also sent Les an email and he responded in detail, so he's in my good book.

Does anyone remember the original Lost? It was on like 5 years ago now, and was quite similar to what Aja is describing but with various teams of 2.
They'd get dumped in south American rain forest, for example, with no idea where they were and whichever team got to Trafalgar Square first, won. It was great, especially when they were dumped in hilariously inhospitable places like the Arctic. It was on C4.
Anyway, that was blatantly the best reality TV show ever.

An edited version of this should be appearing in an actual real magazine, soooooooon (April).
MORE BLATANT SELF PROMOTION AS AND WHEN I KNOW MORE. MORE.
Of course you can all read the original here. For free. So .. um .. well, nevermind.
