If you jump and drop an item it will sometimes vanish. It's happened to me on Xbox.
Ugly bug it is... thats how I lost my first character, jumped off the bridge in balmora while carrying that package for caius cosades. Anyway completely by chance I accidentaly push the 'B' button and droped the package. I hadn't saved with that character at all, and so I just scrapped it and started anew. This time with the cat outside.
Does anyone else think Limeware seems a little large?

Shanjaq: Well, 'decay' in the sense that it vanishes after awhile; it doesn't dry up and decay in the biological sense.
Slith: Well, yes, but it 'vanishes' in the sense that it falls into the void; I strongly suspect that if you had piled up enough items in that area and gotten the 'overflow loot bag', you might've been able to get it back. (not that that wouldn't have taken longer than just re-doing a new char) And yeah, I think limeware's a bit heavy as well ;)
