The max would be 150% purge rate from 5 crystals/urchins (5x30%).
It's not a percentage.

Just for info, I tried jogging through electrical anomalies with 3 battery As equipped and SEVA suit (total 155% electrical protection) and my suit didn't heal.
Additionally, I still took damage, so I'm guessing they fixed that exploit in 1.0003.

I think that the protection given from artifacts and that given from suits don't stack, one is applied after the other so if you had a suit giving 90% electrical resistance and 90% resistance from artifacts then your actual resistance would be 90% plus 90% of the remaining 10% giving you a total of 99% resistance. In order to get over 100% resistance and thus repair your suit, you need to have over 100% resistance solely from your artifacts.
Of course, they might have fixed this in 1.0003.

That would kind of suck, these good suits degrade pretty quickly, and are expensive and hard to come by.

It is not fixed in the latest patch.

yeah, stilll works. sum of artifact-shielding > 100 % -> suit heals.
it's not a very helpful exploit since you get enough powerful artifacts at
a point in the game where you already have a powerful suit (seva or sp-99pm)
which doesn't need any repairing.
D'Arcy on 31/5/2007 at 21:43
I don't know about you, but my suits can always use some repairing, no matter how powerful they are.
Bjossi on 31/5/2007 at 23:08
Unless you are using version 1.0 right?

Agreed. I could probably be accused of abusing the auto-save function while trying to keep my free sp-99pm suit in good condition...
