I just finished the demo... not really scary at all.

Remember that the scare factor greatly depends on the environment around you, and your mood too of course.

creepiest thing besides the annelid arachnids for me? the levels themselves, coupled with the music.
how about this: when youre on your way to engineering on deck 1 and you start hearing hybrids or protocol droids close in on you as doors open and close. now thats entertainment : )

The door sounds in Engineering always make my hair rise, don't know why though, since I know exactly how to handle the incoming enemies.

Can hardly remember the first time I played SS2. But I certainly wasnt particularly scared. What I do remember is that I was annoyed of the difficulty level of engineering. IIRC I even had to restart because all my weapons were broken and no maintenance tools left.
Most scariest games for me are Doom2 and Doom3. D3 is very repetitive, true, but no other game made me quiver all the way down to the core like D3 did. D3 was really a new experience for that old gamer I am. And no other game ever kicked me from my chair like D2 did once.
SS2 has by far the best voice acting of all games I played, and Id call it a mixture of computer game and radio drama.

How can you possibly be scared by Doom 3? The first few levels I'd understand; but even a monkey would start seeing a pattern of where enemies pop out after finishing a few levels. The same goes for darkness and the environment, too much of the same, you get used to it pretty quickly. :erm:
