Tomb Raider II music issue.

So I reinstalled Tomb Raider II just for the sake of nostalgia and some music tracks won't play. I've got the menu music, ambience and every sound playing just fine but some tracks such as this one

Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

IIRC Tomb2 uses redbook audio. Even the in-engine cutscenes used it rather than the sound engine itself.

Are you using it from an old disc or did you buy it digitally? If it's an older disc maybe you're not set up for regular ol' CD audio. Older computers used to need a specific audio cable to plug into eithour your soundcard or mobo from the CD/DVD drive. I would hope that's not your problem, because if it was it would mean your computer is pretty damn old.

If it's the digital verison. I have no idea how to help.

Also. some of the re-issued versions came without the music for some asinine reason. For example: there is a patch on the internet somewhere to give the PC version of Tomb1 the same music and queues as the PSX version, which had much better music despite the game being exactly the same.

It's a difital copy. I can hear most of the music and all the sound effects just fine but THAT specific track (the one in the video) never pops up. I played the cdaudio.mp3 file and the audio for that track IS there but I can't hear it in-game for some reason.

After your first post I was going to suggest it might be redbook in which case I've heard of games that originally had redbook, such as Quake and Quake 2, get a digital release, e.g. Steam, and they don't include any kind of replacement for the audio.
In you 2nd post you mention a file "cdaudio.mp3". So it looks like your TR2 does include the music that originally came as redbook.
I searched "Tomb Raider II GOG" on a whim.
