Level 1 - Went stright to Balmora to join the Mages Guild. On my way i collected a bunch of the local fauna/flora. I just wonder now, if i should sell the stuff to get some cash (and free up some space), or buy a mortar etc and make potions to increase this skill.

The easy-to-find plants don't sell for very much, IIRC; I'd say save 'em for after you train alchemy up, or (as you said) blow 'em to raise your Alchemy skill.
Edit: Oh, and if you do decide to sell 'em, make sure you keep at least one of each ingredient; it'll save you some time running around for an early Balmora Mage Guild quest.

Are you never sleeping Forsythe? ;)
Well, you are realy the greatest Morrowind-Compendium. Think Bethesda should integrate "your" AI into the game as a guide.
That downside with the guild is that i got wagonload of everthing, well, everything except those damn mushrooms. But hey, thats life.
What would be a good - i know good/bad does not really exist - potion to train. Just would be interested in your thought. I would like to make "Restore Magic", but only have one ingrediant.

Restore fatigue are the best potions to practice with... there are quite a few ingredients that have it as an effect.

Actually any combination that give you a result is good, even when its a negative. You can sell the bad potions right along with the good ones.
