Just picked up The Man Who Was Thursday from a second hand bookstore in some forsaken street in Istanbul.
Since I've travelled a quarter of the world before finding this book, I'd better be half as awesome as you guys said it was... [/thinly veiled threat]

There were a few (

Personally, I'd recommend it, though obviously it's a far cry from William Gibson and Phillip K Dick or whatever. The most important things to remember about are that it was written and set in 1908 (different world and, to an extent, different values) and that it's a "Nightmare" - an allegory not intended as any kind of description of how things are, or were, or ought to be (Chesterton caught quite a bit of flak about that one, apparently.)
It can be fairly strange at times, particularly the conclusion, but if you can adapt to the antiquated, genteel style it can be pretty funny at times, and generally worth a read, IMO.

Just finished first chapter.
There's an ever increasing chance you guys won't be found dead tommorow...
