I was never really a giant fan of the original cartoon, but the first movie was great fun, very moody and surprisingly dark. May this one be similar and spawn far better sequels than the live-action did all those years ago.
(time travelling to medieval japan? wtf?)
Oh, and apparently Shredder is NOT the big bad guy, or even in the damn thing.

Why do you think it looks promising?
I was a huge fan of the original cartoons as a kid, and I remember when I watched the tmnt movie I was so dissapointed, those turtle costumes just pissed me off to no end because they were so fake looking (and I think I was around 10 years old when I saw it), I just couldn't bolive those were MY turtles, fricken morons and their crap costumes. As for this new one, the style of animation looks great, but why are their eyes glowing white with no pupils, and what kind of TMNT film would not feature Shredder or Krang. This is stupid, they should just leave TMNT alone instead of making more crap movies. :rolleyes:

Yeah it looks pretty terrible but then again I'm sure it's intended for the kids who watch the new TMNT show on TV. And I am very disapointed that this turned out not to be the rumored John Woo-directed live action TMNT there was a buzz about some years ago. Who do they have directing instead? Some clown who's only directed some shitty videogame about airplanes before! ITS GONNA SUCK! :mad: ASS! :mad: IGOTRUSG :mad:

I was a HUGE fan of the original tv series and just like CandyStick I ABSOLUTELY HATED the damn movies. The 2nd movie was half half though.
To have Splinter as being a rat in the first place and THEN turned into a mutant was just criminal. Plus no technodrome, no Bebop and Rocksteady and no mechanical foot soldiers. AHHHHH. One huge disapointment :(.
Well atleast you can download the whole 10 series of it off the net these days.
