Well, bad news : you softlocked yourself as there is no way to call the elevator back down since I never thought it would have been possible to go down without dying...
Normaly, from this place you should have been able to access the Security Room and find there on a chair in the middle of the room a redbook and a key that open almost all the remaining closed doors...

I found a way to escape that softlock:
- stand on a platform with acid near/under the bridge between upper north and south sections of Factory
- use speed potion
- jump on the bridge)
It is not that effective - depending whether you have at least 1 speed potion or not and surely would be frustrating (so I recommend to make hard save before trying), but at least worked for me.

Glad I made so many saves then.
On an unrelated note: There is anything to that brick/stone wall at the first (rust-gas) elevator? The one with the bend?

So it does have a story : the nave had a direct access to the basement but mechanist blocked and locked it
so the rust gas could not reach them.

I just wanted to chime in and say that even though this didn't win 1st place in the contest, to me this was the most incredible of the top three winners for sure. Both Feast and Into the Odd were great, but this mission was so ambitious and intense. The choice of sounds and music along with the new adversaries created a sense of dread that pervaded the whole mission and really set the tone of a desolate, dead place perfectly. Some places gave me some nostalgia for SS2 actually like in the Engineers quarters with busted in doors and corpses everywhere and all the readings did an excellent job of filling in the story. I think Feast embodied more what people think of as classic thief and it was really well done, and not everyone loves a good mechanist mission, but I thought that your mission was just incredible. In my mind its practically cannon now.

Hello. I'm experiencing an annoying screen lag when playing. Installed Thief vanilla then TafferPatcher_TMA_216_beta then copied the 1.27 NewDark patch in the game and installed the FM with it. Some suggestion?
My graphic card is a GeForce 700 serie.

Hi Linda,
One thing that I know massively improved the framerate for myself and others was setting 'Sky Detail' to Low in the video menu.
Other than that, I'm not sure what could be causing it.

It depends on the rest of your system too (cpu, memory, monitor, etc) but the video card is pretty old so it may not perform well for this mission which is pretty demanding even on newer systems. Besides what Dirk mentioned you can try setting a lower screen resolution.

Also Tafferpatcher hasn't been updated in a long time and just adding NewDark to it may be missing some newer fixes, scripts, etc. Most are using T2Fix now which is kept updated & includes NewDark etc, you can try running it on your current install or on a fresh install to be sure there is no conflict. It may not make much difference though if your system specs are more the problem.
