Excellent, Shadowspawn! Hopefully people will be able to make exporters & importers in all their favorite 3D tools.
All your hard work is much appreciated by we who can't afford 3D Studio MAX.

I just got back from a few days of vacation, so I'll get to this as soon as I can catch up on email and work.

using launcher ,that loads both game and editor great, i can load editor .i can use editor( after a fashion at the moment ) but .......and you knew there would be a but ..when i use the joystick icon ,its says saving file blah blah ..then just sits on desktop screen doing nothing ..

:D No problem. Hopefully I didn't sound rude about it. Didn't mean to. I was understandably curious though. :)

I have had mixed results using this:
for instance,
cherubface.tim converted ok :thumb:
STMiELEEgeneratorGDN generated an improper 3ds file (at least according to 3dsmax)
I tried editing the .e file to make the bitmap file name shorter, and shortening the name of the 3ds file, is there anything else I can try?
cheers

Make sure you have the latest Eto3DS. Use the /t option to truncate all the names, that makes 3DS Max happy.
Still having problems getting enough time to continue work on this. My job has become too busy recently, no brain cells left for advanced Thief work.

(Sorry about the necromancy)
Been converting more objects, with much more success :thumb: Once again, my thanks to Shadowspawn for doing this.
(Here are a couple of issues though:)
A few objects appeared to come through with just vertices (ie no surface). Example was MANexturretlow.tim (in Gables).
Also, collision shapes after the first one seemed to be dropped. A good example of this would be OQ1_Gable_Support1.tim which is probably intended to have quite a lot on collision volumes.
cheers

Thanks for the input, I'll definitely check out those objects.
The collision hulls are odd, I can't figure out where the "other ones" are, I can only find the first one. Knowing that there are more, I'll definitely dig deeper.
Hopefully I'll get a new version out soon, and maybe even make some progress on the TIM <-> 3DS program.
