Does anybody know if Timeslip is still active? I would have PM or emailed but that is not available.
Timeslip, if your still out there I was wondering if DDfix is still required IF thief 2 runs without it. Here is the story:
I recently upgraded my system, here are the specs:
i7 core processor 2.66Ghz
X58 XFX mb
6GB trikple channel DDR3
BFG Nvidia GTX 285 OC 2GB
2 1.5 TB SATA drives (1 with XP, 1 with Vista 64)
LG Blu-Ray burner
Creative SB X-Fi fatality pro PCI-E soundcard
NEC 24" AccuSync LCD24WMCX monitor
7.1 Speakers, webcam, blah, blah...
Clean Install XP, Thief 2 loaded, no issues with anything, using garrettloader, again no issues. EP pack installed.
The reason I am asking this silly question is that on the previous install, DDFix was required and it made everything look much, much better. Not to complain, because I thought with this modern config. I would have issues and frankly was really surprised that everything (install) went so smoothly, but I was really hooked on the improvement in graphics quality with DDFix installed on the older system.
I did try to install it again, but got a windows error that the app. wouldn't install. I guess your fix spoiled me.
If it is not required and is not needed or cannot be installed to get those excellent graphics back, no big, as everything seems OK, sans the higher quality graphics, and if so, I will live with it.
So let me know if you would. Thanks.:D

* Timeslip is not currently working on DDfix anymore.
* yes, on "any" DX10 or higher card ddfix is required.
* tried to installed what..?
* Thief can be installed without it, but you already know the answer.

Thanks man,
I got it, what I missed was the patched exe, once I got that in, all was working again. It's been awhile.

^^ That's not entirely true. On my HD4550 (DX10) I can play Thief without ddfix without problem. However, I don't like to do that.
1) Resolution changes. My big ol' 1080p LCD monitor does not like to change resolution very much, it's a 10-second delay every time it happens. ddfix keeps the resolution change from happening
2) The textures just look prettier with ddfix.
