I am setting up a scenario where Garrett acquires an item that immediately starts a countdown timer. The remaining number of minutes and seconds should be visible upon selection in the inventory. When the countdown reaches 0, the item is destroyed - this part shouldn't be a problem. This is very similar to the Holy Water Arrows, just without the whole transmutation part. Is this setup technically possible? My mission is for Thief Gold and I have proficiency in NVScript if that helps. Thank you.

I wonder if it is possible to use a delete tweq on the object and have the delete tweq's remaining time displayed.

Another, though arguably less ideal, solution I can think of would be updating a QVar value every minute (the countdown is 30 minutes) and displaying it via NVQVarName, whose function is described as "this script is used to make an object's name (or label) change based on the value of a qvar".

Maybe both ideas would work together.

This would be trivial with a custom Squirrel script. Just listen for whatever event fires when an object is selected in inventory and display the current time remaining.
