Over the last couple of years my commitment to Thief has wanned to the point that my enthusiasm for writing walkthroughs, making maps, maintaining the Brief Summaries thread and Mission by Type thread and helping fixing older missions is now almost non existent, as well as that after having lived on a boat for 23 years I have recently bought a cottage in the countryside which needs a fair bit of work doing to it, so it is unlikely that I will be producing any new walkthroughs or contributing to Thief in the way I have done in the past.
That's not to say I am retiring permanently, who knows what I'll doing in the future but at least until I have got my new house the way I want it I can't see myself spending 30+ hours a week playing computer games.
However I'll still be on the forum so if anyone wants to help contribute to the Brief Summaries thread by writing entries, or selecting sections for the Mission by Type thread and PM them to me of course I'll add them to the threads. As for walkthroughs Athalle is the only other person who regularly makes walks and I will include her new ones when she posts them and I'll continue to post and Lets Plays posted in the Video's thread.

thank you so much for all your work you have shared with us over the years! I always appreciated your loot lists and especially the maps which helped a lot to find one's way through complex missions - I will miss them terribly.

Thanks for all of your contributions to this community I use your walkthrus often! But your maps are incredible so much detail and information :eek::cool:
We all get burn out at some time for what ever the reason. I have left Thief a few times myself but kept an eye on the forum for any new content.

We love you and what you've done man, another thing you've done is post tons of DML fixes in the threads of the FMs, and I never got to so this is a nice opportunity to thank you!

Your contributions to the Thief community are invaluable and I greatly appreciate all your efforts over the years. I have fond memories of racing you to solve that one mission in which I had to grab a special loot item through a wall due to issues with the mission on my system. :cheeky:

So appreciate all you have done, buddy. Saying that you've done it while living on a boat is even more impressive. It almost makes me a bit jealous. Go do whatever you'd like (whatever rocks your boat, maybe?) you've definitely deserved it.
