I repeat, you are an idiot.
Masochism is the enjoyment of pain. If I knew or hoped that he would actually *hit* me with the knives, then that would be masochism. And while "being helpless and trusting someone not to kill you accidentally" *is* a part of S and M play, it's trusting them not to accidentally kill you WHILE THEY INFLICT PAIN on you. Enjoying the little frisson of fear that comes from slightly risky activities isn't masochistic, it's human. Ever go on a roller coaster and trust that the mechanic knew his job? Ever bungee jump, and trust that the guy who set it up wasn't sleepy? Ever fly in a plane? I think your concept of the power dynamics of S and M is kind of naive, too.

Hehe, yes sure. I just didn't have a thing going for the mechanic...
For the rest: Oh well, just forget it. Your reaction shows how familiar and comfortable you are with the subject.

No, my reaction shows I understand the subtleties of human sexuality. You clearly don't. But sure, give up if you feel beaten. :)

Yes, I do. Enjoying it actually. :)

Oh cut it out Kolya, lets not turn this into something it's not. You don't know what anyone is really thinking. You are picking apart something that doesn't need to be. You have your view, masochism, SM, that is adding more to what the experience really was like. Some people get off on that shit, more power to them. Don't make more of this than it was.

The knives just bounce off him.

Nothing wrong with masochism, but having knives thrown at you really isn't the same thing. I imagine (I can't be certain, having never had knives thrown at me) that the eroticism comes more from the fear effect and from the slightly phallic nature of the knives. If you want to categorise it as a fetish it's probably a form of fear-play.
Actually, I think the medical definition (some people class masochism as a psychological disorder) is slightly different from the definition given by most people who practice it, since it classifies psychological suffering, restraint, and humiliation as part of masochism.
