On a recent trip to Maar Gan I went to the shrine and noticed a named dremora called 'Anhaedra' standing just right of the entrance. You can talk to him and all he says is something along the lines of "read the inscription on the stupid rock".
Anyway i decided to save the game and initiate the only other possible interaction with the dremora - taunting. The Dremora's ending comment before attacking me was -
"After I kill you, I will rape your corpse. Don't worry. I'll be gentle."
Well after that i decided to introduce Mr Anhaedra to Mr Deadric Dai-katana and even at level 3 i sliced the daedra in two. :)
Has anyone else encountered this sort of 'comment'?
Morrowind certainly surprises me every time i play but encountering a homosexual necropheliac dremora is certainly the biggest surprise so far but i admit i haven't been to the rumoured strip club in Suran... ;)
Oh and if you can tell me where this damned 'Rothan Tomb' is I'd appreciate it - I have to find this guy Mathis Dalobar for a Redoran Quest and the locals directions to this tomb are crap -
"Rathan Tomb is on the main road on the right just before the road turns south to Ald'ruhn."
Cheers.

Never mind about the Rothan Tomb after killing numerous cliff racers I finally found it on my own.

I've seen that dude, too. When you kill him, if you go back to the shrine, something good happens, though I can't remember what.
Just be thankful you're not in House Hlaalu, or you'd have to subject yourself to the wiles of Crassius Curio... *shudder* :eww:

Yeah I think it must be part of a temple quest to kill the dremora named 'Anhaedra' and then receive a blessing from the rock.
In regards to Mr Crassius Curio I've heard of him but thankfully I haven't met him (yet) on the bright side doesn't he only hit on women? Unlike this gay dremora who seems to enjoy the thought of having rampant butt love with my still warm corpse - the designers of this game have serious issues...

okay, at the risk of stating the obvious, but:
in regards to the Dremora Anhaedra remarking that he will "rape your corpse" or whatever, may I ask....
What the hell do you think an evil denizen of the lower planes would say?
"Good Sirrah! I shall battle you honorably and , once I have defeated you, I shall see that your body is shipped (first class, mind you) to your next of kin for an honorable and decent burial as befits so great and worthy an adversary!"
instead, think along the lines of R. Lee Ermy in Full Metal Jacket:
"I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull f*ck you!"
I dare any of you to say to a p!ssed off Marine Drill Instructor that you think he is gay...
I will, of course, attend your funeral, as befits so honorable, if eyeless, warrior as yourself....:thumb: ;) ;) :thumb: :sly:

LOL yes I know what you mean VetMichael it's simply that I got the impression that while dealing with violence, the undead, and demon worship, Morrowind was a bit... 'tame'. When I encountered something like this threat I though I might have hit on a joke the designers had added like a kind of easter egg or something.

Actually, Councillor Curio "rides the fence", so to speak, with regard to sexuality. I don't want to give too much away in case you decide to join House Hlaalu in the future, but let's just say that my male character will never, *ever* forget the first "task" he had to complete for Crassius.

That was the best part of MW... I actually made some sort of outside action when I laughed at that threat.
Granted he posed no greater threat than any other sorry excuse for a dremora, but I forgave both parts of him.
