I played a few demos from the current Steam Next Fest, and found a couple new games to be hyped about.

Summer Trip Cruise has you driving a big ol boat. The mouse-only interface feels odd at first, but totally works. Drive through each level without hitting anything, stopping at the tourist spots, and beating the track-time to get 3 stars. The boat-physics feel just right. It's simple and fun.

RXC - Rally Cross Challenge is an arcadey rally game. It's not quite art of rally levels of fun, but the cars do have a nice sense of weight to em, and powersliding around corners is fun.

Conscript is one I've been excited about before and I might even have posted a trailer here previously. It's one of those odd ones that feels like a 90's game, but not like any specific 90's game. Like a hidden gem you'd just missed out on. Also, the demo is too long, frankly. I stopped playing after 40 min. I don't wanna get too invested in something like this when I know I'll just have to start over from the beginning when the whole game comes out anyway.

Can you post about games that have already been released, or is that breaking rules of the hype thread? I didn't know until today that A Plague Tale: Requiem is a thing. And it's already been released today. :eek:
I only played the first game (Plague Tale: Innocence) last month, and it was a truly magnificent and unforgettable adventure. It's not the best game gameplay-wise, but the storytelling in it is something different. At the end of the story I was actually wondering if we'd ever see a sequel, but I thought that it would be better to just leave it there, or it might ruin the experience. And now, a month later, the sequel is here. :p
And it's getting great reviews too! The stealth gameplay should be better, the locations look stunningly beautiful again, there should be a whole lot of interesting characters and fascinating story, and lots of disgusting rats! If I wasn't terribly busy with Witcher 3 right now, I might do a day one purchase here, but this will have to wait for now.

This survival horror game just came out. It's in the gamepass. 81% on metacritic. Looks cool.

Too many dang games right now! Robotry, Frog Detective 3 and Plague Tale 2 just came out too, I wanna play those as well but I'm already playing like 3 games.

Like you mentioned, Signalis is getting reviewed really well. It's on Game Pass too, as well as the Humble launcher thing, if you've got either of those. I'll probably demo it via GP (or should I say demo pass, hue hue), and then get it if it's as good as people say.

WOOOOOO! I did know about it but was starting to dread it was vaporware since it's been so long since any news about it. Kinda weird they can't nail down the release date closer than "sometime in December?" But yes, consider me HYPED.
