I'm kinda hyped about... (
https://duke4.net/duke-nukem-forever-2001-content-4chan-leak/) DUKE NUKEM FOREVER (2001)
I'm sure plenty of people have looked at the 2001 E3 trailer and wondered if it wouldn't have been a better game than the one we eventually got. Well, some 4channer called x0r has gotten their hands on the build and is posting screenshots and videoclips, they're planning on releasing it in June.:erm::sly::sweat::):eww::cheeky::eek:

I want to believe.
Oh, me too. Please please let it be true. The world needs KCD2 already.

"Hyped" might not be the right word for what I'm feeling—since it's apparently so early in development—but I must admit I am getting a little excited about it now, Limasse Five's current project,
SenS:

Prototype coming May 21st and, starved as I am, I'll be ignoring its Early Access status.

Well that's a mystifying store page. Can you describe it more helpfully?

If it's like his previous project (
https://store.steampowered.com/app/265690/NaissanceE/) NaissancE, then it'll put you in a maze-like surreal world that you walk around in and explore, and then things happen around you, some of which you may be able to control once you get a feel for the weirdo UI or place that you find yourself in. Figuring out how to control anything is probably a lot of the "game", and the rest is just taking it in.
Just from the little trailer and info we have now, it looks like it's more on the glitch end of that template, where the world itself is pretty glitched, and you can glitch in and out and in between different places or situations.
-------
There's already a kind of subgenre of this kind of glitched walking sim at least. This is going beyond answering the question, but I suddenly want to make a list of these kinds of games for my own interest, since I think other people are interested in or at least curious about this kind of game too.
Let's see, on the completely glitched end you have games like: ZeroNorthZeroWest, Aentity, Roa, Hypnospace Outlaw, Broken Reality, Matter, Shape of the World, Memory of a Broken Dimension, LSD, Mu Cartographer, GlitchSpace, LaLaLand...
I mean it's a spectrum. On the more coherent but still utterly unreal or surreal side there's Kentucky Route Zero, Duck Season, Buddy Simulator, Pony Island, NaissancE, Frog Fractions, Beckett, Fugue in Void, Through the Fragmentation, AntiChamber, Disoriented, Islands Non-Places, Post Void, Panoramical, Epitasis, Glitch Pets ...
And even pretty vanilla mainstream games have glitchy sections like System Shock 1 & 2, Half Life 1 & 2, Control, Fez, Disco Elysium, etc.
But I think this genre would be the ones where the glitch is everywhere and central to the game or part of the gameplay or exploration itself. Well, I always wondered if this could be called a proper subgenre, so I thought to list out some games that seem to fit the pattern ... if you'll forgive my little detour.

Thanks for giving me a bunch of stuff to check out! And NaissancE was pretty stylish, so I'll keep an eye on SenS.

What demagogue said—mostly. There isn't a lot to go by, but I'll make sure to report back when I've played the prototype.
Here's more recommendations (in alphabetical order):
Bokida - Heartfelt Reunion
Endless Becoming - Apartment
Fibrillation HD
Kairo
Kristallijn
North (which I haven't finished yet, because I got stuck, trying to figure out what my current goal was)
There Was the Moon
TIMEframe

Memory of a Broken Dimension
I just wish he releases the full game while my mind can still process it.

Wonderful list; thank you! I'm going through my PSN and Steam wishlists and adding as much as possible. Out of all of these I've only played KRZ, LSD, and oddly enough, Islands: Non-Places, so this is a real treat.
And thanks, qolelis, I'll check those out as well.
