Honestly? I thought that looked absolutely dreadful. I liked the original, but this trailer looks half-assed to me, at best.

What stood out for me is the voice acting. Which lands squarely on the side of, um, 'interesting'. What I'm more surprised about is the fact that Revolution still exists.

PS5 stuff tonight. Looking forward to that.

I hope we'll soon know more about the PS5's backwards compatibility. I originally thought that it'd be able to run the PS4's library of games more or less entirely, with the occasional game that may not work, but they've been more guarded in recent statements. If the majority of PS4 games in my library work, at least the ones that I'm likely to replay or that I haven't played yet, I'll definitely be in the market for a PS5, but I want to hear more concrete info on the issue first.

Apart from weird voiceover ("let's cover up bad acting with over-pronounced accents!" kind of way), the art direction is also a mixed bag of realistic PBR materials with cell-shaded look and all the stuff in between. It looks off, even with fast editing.

To be honest, to me it looks like a fan project made by enthusiastic people whose talent isn't quite up to the task. There's nothing in that trailer, other than "Remember that title? Remember this world and some of these characters?", that I find particularly appealing, in particular in a professional release planned for 2020 or 2021. It's not that the production values aren't exactly great, it's that none of it seems to fit together particularly well.

I doubt they'll talk about that tonight, unless it plays every single thing.

The PS5 wont be backward compatible with ps4 apparently.

I don't know if that's true. It'd directly contradict Cerny's statement that thousands of games are up on running from the PS4 back (is that a premature use of the term or what) catalogue. What we do know is that it won't, maybe, support
all PS4 games.

Actually you're right, it was only one source that i read that. It will probably be more like a slow roll-out of ps4 games, as I imagine there would need to be significant testing involved.
