I got into the Exo Rally playtest last Saturday and have played 10 hours of it this week.

After what a lightweight, walking-sim-esque experience the dev's previous game, Exo One, was, I'm pleasantly surprised by how hardcore this is. It takes the concept of exoplanetary off-road rallying very seriously and I think a lot of the rally fans here will dig it. :)

I just played Venineth, and yeah, like Exo One if there's one thing missing from a game about bouncing a used tooth filling spheroid across crusted alien canyons, it's any sort of four wheel drive. A complete disaster of design, -1/10.
But anyway, here's a game that might be genuinely stupid and stupidly fun enough that we can all agree it should get some hype:

I remember seeing this teaser video of some mafia game on my Youtube feed a couple of weeks ago. Nice, I thought, there aren't too many decent mafia-themed games out there. However, I didn't pay any more attention to the video, and then forgot all about it.
Then the same video appeared on my feed again today.
Hang on a second... It's not just some mafia game... Holy shit! It's a brand new Mafia game! :o
I admit that I felt a bit stupid for not realising that earlier, but I didn't let that ruin my excitement.

There's not much to see yet and not much information. Apparently the game is set in 1900's Sicily, which sounds great to me. Earlier I was thinking that the next Mafia game would be set in 1980's or something, so that they'd move forward in time again (Mafia 1 was set in 1930's, Mafia 2 in 1940/50's and Mafia 3 in 1960's), but I'm glad that we're not getting Mafia: Vice City. There's something cool about the good old-fashioned mafia stuff, even though in real life all sorts of mafia stuff obviously sucks, but you know what I mean. :p
Anyway... yay, new Mafia! :D
