Many of the themes and elements are repeated since King's Field already. Even the crestfallen warrior is a repeat, though of course much more effective from Demon Souls onwards due to technological improvements such as being able to actually have the lines be voice acted.

Tomb Raider Remastered is so awesome it doesn't have any graphics settings because it doesn't need them. E
Turns out that V-sync is forced on and can only be disabled via a commandline. So no, a graphics settings menu would be welcome.

What's the advantage of disabling V-sync here?

Reduced input lag, uncapped framerate.

Both things that don't really matter for original Tomb raider.

I call bullshit. Even heavily menu-driven, turn-based and passive experiences like JRPGs and visual novels benefit from high framerates.
People need to stop making excuses for objectively inferior experiences.

I agree high framerates are nice, and Tomb Raider will likely run at whatever your monitor's max refresh rate is anyway, so it seems unnecessary.

It's a really a non-issue at the end of the day since the feature is there, but it's principle of the matter. The option to disable v-sync shouldn't just be a commandline parameter, it should be a menu option.
On the subject of Tomb Raider, I hope that the next AAA entry crashes and burns so the Crystal Dynamics gets stripped of stewardship of the IP by Embracer. CD clearly have had disdain for the IP for many years. We wouldn't even have this remaster collection if Squeenix hadn't have sold off their Western studios.

I don't disagree, but I wonder why you think that. For me, it was that message from CD at the start of the remaster. Quite disrespectful towards those who made the game. Are there racist elements? Sure. But for me, the most awful, poorly researched drivel out of all the games was the 2013 reboot. Why was there no such message there :P ?

Knowing EvaUnit's opinions on modern "woke" gaming, I suspect that this is mostly about Lara Croft's reduced cup size.
