henke, you forgot about Routine. :erg:
I can't say I'm hyped about anything in particular, but in the AAA space I am curious as to how the tentpoles on either side of the console divide will turn out: FF7 Remake-sequel-metaverse bullshit thing Part 2, and the ostensibly extremely unnecessary (but incredibly good-looking) Hellblade 2.

Tangiers, too, right?
I'm not feeling a lot of hype going into 2024, but this is my short list:
-Stalker 2
-Silksong
-MSFS 2024
-Senua 2
-Hyper Light Breaker
-Bloodlines 2
Nice that 2/3 of those will be on Gamepass. I had to rofl a bit when I saw Routine is also on their 2024 release list.
I'm a big Star Wars fan, but I almost never play Star Wars related games. That said, Outlaws has my attention. Looks very stealth oriented, and I like the fact that it's more about the gritty underworld than becoming a Jedi. Open world too. An alternative to Starfield perhaps?
I'm not sure if this is HYPE or not, but both Graven and Wrath have release dates seemingly set in stone for Jan & Feb, so we'll see.

Aw, for a brief moment I was thinking that
Outlaws (the 1997 game by LucasArts) is getting a remake or something. Now there's a game that deserves a proper remake.

I was going to just list off the coming games I've wishlisted in Steam, but then I saw there are 106 of them! Well if you friend me on Steam (demagoggles, which I should probably also change my nick into here already), you can see your friends' wishlist by going to their games list and it's on the top-right, and you can see them all there. If I wishlisted them, then there was something I liked about it.
Here are some knee-jerk highlights.
Well, I cut it down to like ~30 of them anyway:
Faceless, The Precinct, Off Grid, Vampire TMB 2 (though I worry about this), Memory of a Broken Dimension, The Last Night, Synther, The Mirror's End, Outcast - A New Beginning (reminds me I feel like I haven't heard from Ulukai in a while), Hollow Night: Silk Song, Outbrk, Red Frost, Where the Clouds End, a couple of B17 sims (Mighty Eighth & Redux, The Bloody 100th), Militsioner, Fallen Aces, Peripeteia, SCHiM, Underwater Space, POGOPPL, Stalker 2, Albert Wilde Quantum PI, Homeworld 3, Bladerunner 2033, The Abandoned Planet, Chasing the Unseen, Fragmented City (sequel to Through the Fragmentation which was a games club game a few months ago), Route 66 Simulator, Zero Losses, the F4 for DCS, Just Crow Things, Timelines (the new DLC for X4), and the new regions for American Truck Sim & ETS2.
Edit: Looking at the other entries, I could add: Senua's SHB 2, Hyper Light Breaker, Lorn's Lure, Routine, and, ugh, MSFS 2024 I guess (I'm peeved that MSFS 2020 only lasted ~3 years when we were promised 10 years development; evidently they reached a hard limit with the engine, but I want the version that's going to be developed. I hope they don't just keep releasing a new $70 version & killing off the previous version every 3 years though...)

Well, fuck me, I did forget about Homeworld 3. Considering that if you put a gun to my head and asked me what my top game of all time was, it'd be me vacillating between Homeworld, Ultima 7, and Silent Hill 2 (and Trinity, and Loom, and...) before you lost your patience and emptied the chamber into my skull, it has big fucking boots to fill and maybe BBI can capture the original's luminous spark and spirit. I'm retracting my earlier statement - consider me officially slightly hyped.
And it's going to have to wait for when I feel like upgrading my system, whenever in 202X that's going to be.

Hot damn! That's good news, even if this series only ever iterates. I do need to finish playing the previous one, though.

Indiana Jones game by Machinegames (proper Starbreeze) looks like it could be pretty cool. Hopefully we'll get an AI voice mod which replaces Troy Baker with Harrison Ford.

Yeah man we might have some people who'd be interested in that!
