I ordered a new Steam Deck OLED version on a bit of an impulse. It wasn't cheap and I may regret it later, but for now I'm eager to catch up on all the indie games of the past few years that don't run well on Switch, and I want to revisit some old games that are in limbo because I don't have a good PC setup; namely Fallout New Vegas, Mirror's Edge, Prey, Alien Isolation, and maybe the Half Lifes.
I also am really hoping it works well for Thief and Thief 2. I haven't had a CRT monitor in ages and although Thief looks great on my OLED TV, there's no great way to play it on the couch. Hopefully with the Deck's robust control mapping I can make it work.

"Anticipated" 'tLoU meets The Division' open world sandbox survival game, The Day Before, launched into early access and apparently is a dumpster fire. Overwhelmingly Negative average user review rating ATM on Steam. The drama surround/leading up to release this probably more interesting than the game itself, LMAO.
They wowed a bunch of people with bullshot trailers, securing the place of most wishlisted Steam game for probably 1.5 years. Then they did a whole bunch of sketchy shit regarding their pre-release PR, leading people to suspect that it's a scam.
Fun times, feels like 2012/2013 again watching seeing the likes of TotalBiscuit (God rest his soul) and Jimquisition give coverage of awful scam games, trying to cash-in on the DayZ trend.

Kojima should just go to Hollywood already. He clearly wants to be there.

So happy that I missed 3+ hours of Doritos Pope cringe. Here's what really matters:-

From recent Insomniac Games hack, their release schedule has been leaked. It's a whole bunch of Spider-man + X-men IP games for the rest of the decade, with another Ratchet & Clank in 2029. If Disney licensing contracts terms are to believed, all of the Marvel games are guaranteed for PC.
- Venom (2025)
- Wolverine (2026)
- Spider-Man 3 (2028)
- New Ratchet & Clank (2029)
- X-Men (2030)
We're getting PC ports of all of these capeshit games, yet Ghosts of Tsushima, Demon's Souls remake and Bloodborne remain to be seen. *♂️

I'm excited about Skin Deep, too, but I've had it on my wishlist seemingly for years with no updates.
