Yeh I am suprised this hasnt been done, a HD remake would be great.
One reason I believe is that the Metroid series wasnt hugely popular in Japan?

That's fair on a thematic level, but I have read Alien's script on its own, and for the most part the characters are paper thin. But in a way, it's tha simplicity which allowed the movie to be great, which is why I'm not all about expanding the lore.
They're as fleshed out as they can be for the short time they are on screen. I disagree with your "paper thin" claim though. They're distinct characters, even with the limitations of the script and I think that's down to the cast who are excellent.
RE: Metroid
I only played some Prime on GameCube and the one on Wii a bit. I really liked Prime, it was so damn stylish. I'd like to play a full game and remakes would make a Switch a temptation - at the moment I only covet Zelda.

That's what I'm saying, though - in the script, they are paper thin. The cast brings them to life, but there is very little there without the acting/directing.

Give me the 2D Metroid's any day. Same with Castlevania.

I removed it from my wishlist after that video was released. The first few minutes are just set dressing (shoot at stuff passing by - why?), the melee looks tedious, and none of the indoor areas look like they have a level designer - because as nice as the art and models are - the levels themselves seem as if they've been quickly blocked out in UE4 (so many flat walls and ceilings). I figured I'd wait for reviews, and it doesn't surprise me that the project might be having issues.

That's selling the original Alien a bit short. Its character beats are a good deal subtler than any of the subsequent movies, it does an intelligent takedown of corporate malevolence, it's one of the earlier movies to put a woman front and centre in an action-oriented role whilst not trading away her smarts, the psychosexual symbolism is baked into the prologue well before the alien comes into play (the entire descent into the Space Jockey ship can be viewed as a metaphor for penetration and conception), and Ash's dispassionate tirade on human flaws all on its own shows that there's some fairly strong writing in there. It's a well-balanced story with multiple threads that come together at the end - none of the movies after it juggled all those things at the same time with the same precision; or in the case of Prometheus and A:C, tried and failed (spectacularly) to match the sharpness of Alien's bleak original vision.
That is reasonable on a topical dimension, yet I have perused Alien's content alone, and generally the characters are paper thin. Be that as it may, as it were, it's tha straightforwardness which enabled the motion picture to be extraordinary, which is for what reason I'm not tied in with growing the legend

Re: Atomic Heart, if you go to the game's official site, they have an overly convoluted scheme for different levels of pre-orders, which completely reminded of what EM did with Mankind Divided a few years ago. That alone should be the biggest red flag of all. You'd have to be kinda nuts to hand over any money to these guys right now.
