After how good Fractured But Whole was, this will probably be a huge let-down. Visually it looks like an Unreal Engine store asset flip, fake game video.

Eh? Why? I've never even heard of Concord before.

Geez, getting a refund on a PSN game seems impossible. I bought Alan Wake Remastered (PS4/PS5 version) but then decided I want to play it on PC with mouse & keyboard (already bought it on Epic games on a discount) so I want to get a refund on the PSN game. I have to engage with a chatbot and after filling everything out and it decides I'm eligible it constantly gives me the message that no refund agent is available even though I'm using the chat within the opening hours it specifies. Been trying for 2 days now. A far cry from how easy it is with Steam. With Steam it's even allowed if you played the game a little, with PSN you can't even have downloaded it to your console (which I didn't).

When you're waiting for them to drop older Blizztard + Activision games onto Game Pass, but then you realise they probably won't any time soon because they don't want to jeopardise potential revenue earnings from selling MTXs for the newest games. The biggest competition for many veteran developers is often themselves from the past.

Playstation are notoriously stingy with refunds, even for pre-orders. There are only very few exceptions where they hand them out, like the Cyberpunk 2077 disastrous launch. Xbox are fairly generous with refunds, at least by console manufacturer standards, if that helps at all for future.
I want to play the MW2 2022 campaign without having to buy it. It's always-online DRM schlock. (Rentals are tolerable.)

I considered buying titles by this developer for my Xbox a few months back, good thing I saw this video. Now I know that they're asset flip scammers, bullet dodged!

Here's their Steam creator/publisher page so that you can go ahead and put them on ignore (click on the gear icon in the top-right).

I'm pretty apathetic to Monolith Productions being closed down, since they're likely just another skinsuit studio at this point. All of the people who made their classics like Blood, Shogo, No One Lives Forever, FEAR, Condemned, etc were likely long gone at this point.
(FYI: WB closed down Monolith and cancelled their Wonder Woman, which was reportedly in development hell for years.)

Codemasters won't be making any more rally games. I was surprised when EA bought Codemasters as I thought that rally racing didn't really fit in their EA Sports portfolio, but I suppose that they'll just be concentrating on pushing out their yearly F1 games from now on, and maybe something a bit more arcade such as the GRID series. Even the future of
real rallying as a sport seems a bit uncertain at the moment, so it's hardly a surprise that EA pulled the trigger. I think it's a big shame though, because EA WRC was starting to look so good.

Dear Rally Community,
Every great journey eventually finds its finish line, and today, we announce that we've reached the end of the road working on WRC.
After releasing EA SPORTS WRC in 2023, the 2024 season, including the recently released Hard Chargers Content pack, will be our last expansion.
For now, we are pausing development plans on future rally titles. Rest assured, EA SPORTS WRC will continue to be available for existing and new players. We hope it remains a source of joy, excitement, and the thrill of rally racing. We've poured our hearts into making it for fans, and we know you'll keep the passion alive.
Our WRC partnership was a culmination of sorts for our Codemasters journey with off-road racing, spanning decades through titles like Colin McRae Rally, and DiRT. We've provided a home for every rally enthusiast, striving tirelessly to push the boundaries and deliver the exhilarating thrill of driving on the ragged edge. We've brought together incredibly talented racing developers, worked with some of the sport's icons, and had the opportunity to share our love of rallying.
Thank you to all the fans who have and continue to be part of our rally journey.
The Codemasters WRC Team
