Did the little rune bags with metal runes come with all versions of UW? I thought those were pretty cool... games usually don't even include a manual these days

Are you saying they had ALL the runes or that ALL the original releases had the rune bags? I didn't get to buy my first copy when the game was new, but I bought one from someone online and the bag in there seemed too small to hold 26 runes.

He means they all came with the rune bags. There were only about 1/2 a dozen runes or so IIRC... it's been a long time

Yep, there were only a few runes in the bag.
And anyone disappointed at missing out, don't worry -- it was a cute touch, but not exactly 'quality merchandise', shall we say! :)

Was there a random assortment of runes, of which some (Tym, Vas, Flam, Ex) would be considerably rarer than others, and a set could be collected? That would have been cool, in a sickeningly geeky and pointless way.
