Yeah; I just got that invitation too. But it sounds suspiciously like a set-up to me.
Then again, I'm getting just a tad paranoid in this game.

...Mostly... collecting items that I can't remove from my inventory, because they're quest-related, but for some I have NO idea which quest they're related to, because I guess I haven't picked up the main questline for them yet.

What's even more annoying, I have some ingredients that I cannot remove or use in my inventory, since they're labeled as quest items.

Aren't quest items weightless (despite having a weight displayed)?
(edit: what's awesome is that arrows now have no weight -- I'm carrying close to 600 ancient nord arrows on a whim ;) -- then again, they also removed special materials you needed for ghosts, which is kind of a bummer. I liked having a separate stash of silver arrows...)

- Helping a weak man protect his ancestors from the unholy
- Negotiating my interpretation of 'protection money' for bandits in the form of arrows, delivered at high speed
- Killing a dragon (!) - and, as expected, despite having Sneak on 80, that dragon roasted (rather: froze) me pretty good. I expect problems ahead
- Running back to town, shouting around senseless - until I got a letter stating "You know, some don't like that" :p
- Getting annoyed as I was not allowed to choose which of my several shouts I already knew gets enabled.

Been mooching around Riften. After deciding it's a wretched hive of scum and villainy I have resolved to hunt down every one of those filthy thieves and Black-Briars and dispatch them for great justice!
Hamsters and Rangers everywhere, rejoice Boo! Oh wait no

Still trying to figure out where the Reach is since I discovered I still have a Misc. quest to assist the people of the Reach and can't remember where that was or what I did (tried to do more mini-quests in Dragonreach, but that didn't seem to be it). I already have 1 out of 5 of the quest completed. Hopefully it'll come back to me eventually.
So far this week:
-I've gone through a couple more horses (the game will only let you resurrect them just so many times). They're great fighters, but unfortunately just don't last very long.
- Been working on my smithing since my elven gear needs repair but I don't have the perks to perform those repairs (same with my enchanted weapons).
-Also been enjoying the homecooked meals my hubby makes for me every day. ;)
-Exploring and more exploring!
God I love this game!
