That's what I meant. Dwemer ruins are high level stuff, you don't stumble there at level 10.

Anyway... a challenger appears! Anyone ever fought a Challenger? I got to level 41 with my previous char and I never saw any. It seems no matter how many times I play this game I always find something new.

- Finding an ebony bow down there (approaching level 29, so, yes, I'm happy ;) )
- Coming across a sleeping dragon (!)
- Getting sent high above the clouds by a Daedra

I've never taken to the fantasy genre in any medium and have never played any of the Elder Scrolls games, but I've been watching videos and Skyrim looks like it might be fun. I really liked Fallout 3 and New Vegas and it seems, gameplay wise, Skyrim is similar. That said, can anyone recommend me picking this up right now, or would I find the setting/lore a turn off?

Frost Dragon just before Kynesgrove, then another at Kynesgrove as part of a scripted event, then another immediately after Kynesgrove.

anyway:
- playing hide and seek with a ghost girl
- going through a 'maze' which essentially was just a long tunnel
- realizing I should have NOT tossed away any of the boss masks I found so far. Now I see that mistake and have no idea where they all are now :sweat:

Eh, I've had more interesting encounters with dragons yesterday. I got attacked by two at once, and then later stumbled across Alduin in the middle of resurrecting another dragon.

Also been working on getting thrown into and then escaping from every jail in the game, and trying to locate some Dwemer ruins to spelunk in. No success at finding active ones, but I did discover a bottomless pit. Jumping in there led me to an old Dwemer ruin overrun with Falmer.

Trying out some mods. Jewelcraft is one that I'm fond of.

Killing Thalmor, lots and lots of Thalmor. Last encounter, they came after me, with execution orders. That made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :D
