(The following jaw-dropping things in Skyrim, within an in-game week, which about comes down to an evening of play time. No details, but has spoiler potential)
- Dreaming another persons final minutes
- Facing a huge, steaming Dweamer machine
- Seeing a Necromancer resurrect his late companion (Now that freaked me out)
- Following an incredible path Azura had lain out ages ago
- Battling a strong ghost together with a woman

- denying an old Orc his wish
- watching a child perform a dark ritual - and leave it
- fighting worm-like creatures out of air and ice in the dark
- getting complimented for my gift of the twilight

I just did the werewolf/Hircine quest, that was awesome! I almost feel like I wanna get through this first playthrough so I can start again with a new character, really liking the skill tree and perc system, although I find I am leveling up too quickly for my liking.

Stuff like:
-looking for more words for my Shouts (mostly in all the wrong places)
-going out of my way to vanquish bandits, etc.
-giving some dragons a little of their own back by using my 'Ember' bow to light up their dragony scales
-letting myself get lost in the absolutely breathtaking graphics of this fantastic game!

I did that one last night, fun quest and great prize.
You could always bump up difficulty, that should slow down progress.

- seeing a Giant who mourned the death of his Mammoth
- reuniting a couple in the afterlife, after she could only do the unholy
- setting a Troll on fire - they really burn well
- going deep through Farner caves and return without treasure
(If I keep perfecting them, I might end up in proper haiku :p )

-Running away from a dragon, only to turn around and watch it get eaten by two bears.
-Mass producing leather wristbands for the blacksmith points
-Pickpocketing useless items off of street walkers.

Outstanding. Wish someone else would kill those bloody dragons for a change; I'm already battle-weary from those I've had to fight. Bastards.
Just had something strange happen: I finally made it to Winterhold College and was on the entrance ramp trying to gain entry, when a dragon appeared. That was one battle I lost, so I reloaded but this time the dragon merely circled around the town several times and then flew off. I thought that once they appeared their appearance triggered the inevitable battle. I have to say I was somewhat relieved that it took off though, since I'd just killed one in Rifton and wanted to take a breather from dragons.

Going off topic in my own thread here, I'm starting to believe the game has some intelligence built in, that tones down present enemies through reloads. I saw this with a dungeon boss I challenged with a companion. The first two tries, the boss would simply switch our lights out. In the third he targeted my companion more/hid behind pillars and in the fourth, he almost only stood around in the open and insults were shouted between the two - while I plastered his head with arrows.
Also, how is it that you people encounter Dragons all the time? I'm level 16 and haven't seen a single one yet. Did I abort the main story line too soon?
I have the fear that the first properly level-scaled dragon will find me in the open field, where sneak 60 doesn't help a thing.

I haven't taken down a single dragon so far without help. I've killed three, and moved along from two of them. But every fight has had other...
things involved, since the lizards tend to aggro everything on the map. City guards, giants, bears, necromancers... all sorts taking turns between attacking the dragon, each other, or
me. Quite the clusterfuck, but I'm enjoying it. It also helps since I'm kinda crap with the bow, so until they're down on the ground I'm next to useless.

Possibly. Minor spoiler -
they start popping up after you finish the Whiterun part of the main quest. So, quite early, but entirely possible to get sidetracked before that and just carry on without it.
