Agreed 100%, Tocky. This is where everyone without kids jumps in and mocks you for using the "well, you don't have kids!" argument. But you're exactly right. Holding your newborn child changes your mind about a great deal of things whether you want it to or not. It changed my mind about abortion, guns, capital punishment, etc. If having a kid doesn't change your worldview, you're probably a sorry-ass parent. It certainly makes you aware, maybe for the first time, of exactly how harsh and unfair the world is and that you need to counter-balance that as much as you can until you can teach your kid how to navigate it himself.
