This is not the 10 Greatest Albums of 2000-2009, this is just a tribute - by henke

Heywood: I was tempted to put Infected Mushroom on my list but finally decided against it. Somehow, their music resonates more with the 90's. Nevertheless, I would have probably selected BP Empire over Vicious Delicious.

Sad to say, I don't have BP Empire yet. Last I looked for it, it was out of production and not available in the US except through an importer at $40 or something like that. I will look again though, now that you're reminded me.

Considering the thread title, should I find it odd there is no tenacious D in here anywhere?

Heh, I just chose that threadtitle to sorta evoke memories of 2001 and remind everyone how long ago that was. The other title I considered was based on a line from Gorillaz' Clint Eastwood. "The Future Is Coming On: Best Albums 2000-2009" but that's too obscure.
overexplaining threadtitles itt

Well that's surreal. I lived in the same house as their bass-player, Ted, for a bit. He's a good friend of many of my good friends. And now they're huge.

Talking of Best of '09, it's depressing me to run through Pitchfork's "Best New Music" and not only recognise barely any of the artists but when I scroll down Wikipedia's released in '09 page, I still barely see any artists I know.
<- Musically out of touch.
Me too. :( I'm almost embarrassed to post my list since everything is artists whose heyday was the 80's and 90's, and no one gives a rip what they're doing now. I'm getting old.
