Hmmm...I'm fixing fried chicken tonight and it's not getting anywhere near flour batter or a deep fryer. And it's going to fucking kick everyone's ass.

I'm collecting votes for the "GBM's fried chicken recipe or it didn't happen" campaign.

If you want to go fried chicken then go chicken fried steak. I don't eat meat apart from seafood, but from my previous life I can tell you a huge chicken fried steak with gravy is top notch. If you want to get nasty then fry a couple of eggs to eat with it or even chicken fry a nice pork chop for breakfast.
p.s. need to try the watermelon with balsamic vinegar as mentioned... sounds yummy

you can't cook
Shut up! I'm still learning, but I'm alot better than I used to be. I'd probably be even better than I am now, but people like you keep holding me back, all throwing insults at me and breaking down my culinary self esteem.

Also why aren't you brining ALL chicken? Or, more specifically, why do you think fried chicken never gets brined or marinated? I really do think you've only had the chance to eat sub-par fried chicken. Because it's really, really a lot better than you seem to believe.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here, and say that maybe I'm not being too fair, and that there is some damn tasty fried chicken out there I haven't tried before. But from my experiences, I haven't had any fried chicken I could say I really enjoyed. Not even from people who I usually consider fairly decent cooks. It always comes out just sorta eh once you get past the skin.
So tell you what. You post one of your recipes that you say will make every laugh at me up on the board here, and if I like it, I'll give a long, heartrending, and very public apology to fried chicken. But until then, I'm crossing my arms and remaining stoic about my opinion of the stuff.

I had a Chick-A-Fila sandwich today. I've had smaller. Not bad for the price.

I sometimes eat bananas with a dash of "crema" variety of balsamic vinegar.

Things must be different up north, because down here, Chic-Fil-A is about the most overpriced fast food you can buy. Last time I ate there was about a year ago. I paid 8 bucks for 10 nuggets that barely filled a quarter of the little box they put them in and a small drink. Not at all worth the price I paid.
