To be perfectly honest, I for one don't feel any better, because stories like that only confort me in my thinking that being a loner isn't so bad after all, and understandably it has negative repercussions on my already limited social life.

You know, time from time somebody appears with a story like from random episode of a Brazilian telenovel, but usually they are in their teens, so reading such story from a 30 years old guy is a welcome refreshment.
There is rather simple way how to provide support in such cases, it's sufficient to comfort the poster with "What a bitch/asshole your parther is. Dump her/him and find a new one! Take your revenge!" In most cases it actually works without redundant attempts for schlocky red library level psychoanalysis.
I'd say your love problems are rather trivial, to be honest, and I personally wouldn't bother/amuse people on webboards with this kind of stories, but then, to each his own.
