By the way, are you continuing an old game, or did you start a new one and came across the same error?

Yes yes, and yes. It makes no difference.
How big is your page file?

I think I may know the exact place you're talking about...is it when you first enter the base/warehouse then come to a sort of intersection, turn right, then head down towards The Chef? Because every time I went down that way my game would freeze for probably a solid 10 seconds before I could go on. Never crashed though. I'm thinking it might be a memory problem.

It's not a memory problem, I just bought new memory to replace my old error ridden memory. And I can't even approach the base without it crashing.

About 2.5 gig
D'arcy, it
is an old save, but I've gone back to points when I hadn't even entered the warehouses. It could be that, though I'm not eager about having to go that far back in the game, but it may be the only possible solution.

It shouldn't be a problem unless your save is from 1.000 or whatever. If the save is from 1.0001 or 2 you should be alright in .0003...however, I believe that savegames are not compatible from 1.000 to any of the patches, however I could be wrong.

I don't think this a memory-related problem. STALKER wouldn't be the only game (or software) crashing if that were the case.

More than enough, there goes my theory down the drain. :erm:
Anyways, if STALKER has a command to load a level through the console, you could load military warehouses and go to where it crashes in your savegame. That should declare if it is a savegame problem or not.

Have you tried the -noprefetch startup option?

Try routing all shield energy to forward propulsion, it'll leave you vulnerable, but it might just be crazy enough to work.

I crash to desktop about 50% of the time I quicksave in the Warehouse.
Very annoying.. it's just happened again. :(

Did you sacrifice a virgin or just a girl?
It has to be a virgin!
