Go into the editor and edit every creature with 10X more HP and increase there combat and defensive values 5x. Max the min and max damage values as well. See if its any easier.
I'll admit the game is less difficult than I would like, but it is VERY easy to tailor the difficulty with the editor. No problemo imo.

I wonder why the dedvs didn't put any difficulty levels in (that can be changed mid game), it probably would have solved a lot of people's problems with breezing through the game.
Having an easy time? Just throw the game into Ultra Freakin' Hard Mode.

I think they wanted to avoid the Daggerfall issue where people who bought the game rarely finished it. the choice between making an easier or harder game... easier always wins out.
I agree that the game is not as challenging as I would like, but luckily editing difficulty into the game is VERY easy.
It would be cool to see an "official" mod from Bethesda that increased difficulty... sorta like a HEll mode Morrowind style!

Monkii, I emphathize with you totally(In fact I have a post around here that says pretty much the same thing, Robe of St. Roris and all)
My trick, unfortunately found at level 63... after I mastered all the factions possible... was to just use my cool looking helm(mask of... lookin' cool), my non-magic robe, and my wraithguard + daedric gauntlets... and some less than my best weapon... Oh, and some daedric pauldrons(It's all about looks!)
Granted it was still quite easy, being triple peopls level...
But yes, it IS bethesada's fault for it being too easy. The game after the first part is WAY unbalanced. I can understand it being 'open' ended and not 'linear', but being able to clear to Dagoth Ur in your teens just shouldn't be plausible.
I'm waiting for real mods, as in... DRAGONS!
(PS, once with the help of the editor, I added 14 vivecs in one area... in the game I casted an aoe of sorts, and killed them all withen about 10 minutes =P)

Wonder, with talk of this eq, noone has spoken of the Ward Shield :p I believe it has a 5hps regen for 120 seconds or something like that heh. Of course if I remember right, it was guarded by two golden saints in a cramped room heh. [/spoiler]

I challenge you to get rid of all your gear, and stick with silver weapons, with full set imperal steel armor or silver armor. You'll feel challenged then.
Tonamel on 26/5/2002 at 08:21
My first character is a thief that doesn't wear armor, and only fights with spears.
Plenty of challenge, thankyouverymuch :)

tbh half of the battle is preparation for the battle, the other half is the ability to carry out the plan.
Heading into battle with crap gear, and putting yourself at a bad position misses half of what a battle is.
etc etc
challange... hah! If you want a 'challenge' go play a multiplayer game.
